Neighborcare Appreciates Its Volunteers With Chocolate
On April 30, 2012, Neighborcare Health showed appreciation for its wonderful and dedicated volunteers by hosting them on a private tour of Theo's Chocolates factory in the Fremont neighborhood. Around 20 volunteers and Neighborcare staff members enjoyed light food and refreshments before experiencing a private guided tour of the factory, where fair trade-sourced and organically-grown cacao beans are transformed into tasty chocolate products sold at the location and other retailers around the country.
The volunteers who share their time and talents with Neighborcare to help ensure patients have access to the health care they need and deserve are invaluable to the organization. And a special thanks to Neighborcare's Volunteer Coordinator, Katie Pendleton, who has transformed our volunteer program into a well-oiled, energetic and fun program.
