Neighborcare Health, in partnership with the Seattle Housing Authority and the Pacific Hospital Preservation and Development Authority, has hired four Yesler Terrace residents who will serve as Community Health Workers (CHWs), a Community Programs Manager and an Eligibility Specialist for the Yesler Terrace community.


In June 2014, the Kaiser Family Foundation invited a group of nationally recognized journalists with a strong focus on health policy and state health reform to participate in a week-long fellowship program focused on how the Affordable Care Act is shaping Washington State’s health care environment.

Congratulations to Sarah Vander Beek, who has been named Neighborcare Health’s Chief Dental Officer. Sarah was previously site dental director at Rainier Beach Medical & Dental Clinic. Originally from Montesano, Washington, Sarah completed her undergraduate degree in sociology at the University of Washington and attended Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, a dental school that emphasizes a community health approach to dentistry.

May 6th is the Seattle Foundation’s annual GiveBIG, a one-day, online giving event to inspire people to give (at all levels) in our region. All gifts made to Neighborcare Health through the Seattle Foundation’s website will receive a partial match from the foundation, stretching each gift even further!

Prathiba Pinnamaneni (prounounced Pin-ah-mah-nay-nee) began her career as a graduate student intern at Neighborcare Health in 2004. This month she became the Director of Improvement, but she has worn many Neighborcare hats over the past 10 years.
Neighborcare’s Eligibility Team is here to help! All uninsured patients who need assistance learning if they qualify for public insurance through the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and Washington Healthplanfinder can make an appointment with our Eligibility Specialists.
We ask that you please bring the following documents at the time of your eligibility appointment to make enrollment much more efficient:

Neighborcare Health is proud to partner with the Whole Foods Interbay Store for their 5% Day Thursday, September 19th. 5% of all sales that day will be donated to Neighborcare Health's Pumpkin Push 5K to Care for Seattle's Homeless, benefitting more than 8,200 homeless or recently homeless patients currently receiving health care at Neighborcare Health.

On August 21, 2013, Neighborcare staff, volunteers and supporters will gather to celebrate 20 years of service at our 45th Street Homeless Youth Clinic (Youth Clinic) in Wallingford!
Youth Clinic operates on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, providing care to homeless, or recently homeless, youth on a walk-in basis. Services range from medical, dental and mental health to yoga, meditation and acupuncture.
