Pathway to employment

Take the time to prepare for your interview and set yourself up for success with the following tips from our recruiters. Note that these timelines are estimates and may vary based on role and required documents.

  • Application & Sourcing:
    • 2-3 days.
    • Add @neighborcare.org to your “safe sender” email list.

  • Phone Interview:
    • 1-2 weeks.
    • Be ready for an email or a phone call. Review and learn about our services, mission, etc.

  • Update your professional references:
    • Let them know we may contact them if you are a finalist.
    • Three professional references, one of which must be a current or former supervisor.

  • In-Person or Microsoft Teams Video Interview:
    • 1-2 weeks, depending on the role and schedules.
    • If in person, plan ahead for travel, parking, checking in at arrival, etc. We use behavioral based interviewing.
  • Background Check:
    • 2-week minimum. For credentialed roles, 45-60 days.

  • Offer and Onboarding:
    • 2-3 weeks from time of signed acceptance letter and 45-60 days for credentialed roles.
    • New Hire Orientation, which is currently virtual through Microsoft Teams video.
    • In-person afternoon appointment is scheduled for you in our HR office to take your photo for your security badge/website (if applicable) and wrap-up onboarding documents, such as the Form I-9.
    • Hiring managers will be in touch with your onboarding/training schedule.

  • Companies we use
    • Sterling for background checks.
    • Concentra for labs - processing times are 7-10 business days
    • Outmatch for online professional references.

  • Other requirements
    • As a condition of employment, all Neighborcare Health employees are REQUIRED to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to provide vaccination documentation. 
    • All patient-facing staff will need to provide TB and Hepatitis titers dated within 6 months of start date.
